Maciej Gawroński is a Polish attorney-at-law and best-selling author specialising in new technologies, dispute resolution, and regulations. His expertise encompasses Artificial Intelligence, IT, Data & Privacy, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Outsourcing, Intellectual Property, Commercial law, and Dispute Resolution. In 2021 awarded by the Polish Personal Data Protection Authority with the Michal Serzycki Award for promoting the values of personal data protection and the right to privacy. Contributed to Articles 20, 28.9, 82.1 GDPR.

Maciej has represented clients in investment, construction, technology, patent, and copyright disputes worth billions of dollars before Polish common courts and the Polish Supreme Court, arbitration courts and international arbitration tribunals, including investment arbitrations. He serves as an arbitrator of the Arbitration Court at the Polish Chamber of Commerce.

As an expert of the European Commission on Cloud Computing Contracts and a Working Party Article 29 expert on data transfers (2014), Maciej contributed to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), specifically in Articles 20, 28.9, and 82.1 (data portability, liability of processors, electronic form of data processing agreements).
He is a supporting expert at the European Data Protection Board, a Scientific Council Member of the Institute of Data Protection Law at the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw.
