For days, tens of thousands of people across Poland have been protesting after the Constitutional Court’s ruling on abortion. There are crowds, despite the fact that all of Poland is in a red zone, and that means an absolute order to wear masks, keep a safe distance and limit gatherings to five people.
Legal counsel Katarzyna Kloc of Gawronski & Partners points out a very important issue.
– The regulations introduced in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak provide for a ban on demonstrations and gatherings. However, they do not prohibit individuals from taking to the street and demonstrating their views, and yet that is what today’s protests look like, the counselor notes.
