Online conferences and cursory regulations related to the Covid 19 fight.

The spread of Covid 19 virus, a definite increase in infections, is increasingly causing regulatory changes that are difficult to understand.

The amendment to the regulation on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and bans in connection with the outbreak of an epidemic state, published late on Friday, October 16, shows that in the yellow zone the organization of fairs, exhibitions, congresses, conferences, meetings is allowed only in the virtual world (until further notice). In contrast, there is a total ban in the red zone.

So can we go viral online?
This question straight out of a science fiction
novel must be pondered by entrepreneurs who have such red-zone trade shows planned.
It sounds cursory but if you stick to the regulations, the ban is in effect.

Lawyers interpreting this amendment agree – it is a fatal legislative error that requires immediate amendment.

– The purpose of the regulations is to combat epidemics. People do not contract infectious diseases over the Internet, hence there is no basis for interpreting the terms “conference” and “meeting” used in the regulation to include virtual meetings between two, a few or any number of people,” says Maciej Gawronski, legal counsel, partner at Gawronski & Partners.
