Gawroński & Partners is an independent Polish law firm offering a wide range of legal advice, in particular in the area of digital transformation.
Communication. Implementation. Agility.
We know from experience that our clients’ first need is just to understand what we recommend. Our advice needs to be applicable, ideally by us, so our clients could focus on other matters. And they want everything at once. We do our best to meet these standards.
Our mission is to provide useful and effective legal advice to clients as well as to contribute to society through sharing know-how, promoting best standards and participating in the public debate on legal aspects of technology.
Gawroński & Partners has been established by Maciej Gawroński in 2017, following his departure from Bird & Bird where he founded the Warsaw Office and managed it for eight years.
Since its inception Gawroński & Partners has worked for leading domestic and international corporations, handling transformational and strategic projects. We handle some of the largest GDPR implementations (data protection) in Europe, implement compliance and anti-money laundering systems, set up payment services, implement “banking in the cloud”.
We have helped our clients to win multimillion Euro disputes, manage sensitive compliance matters (including investigating corruption, anti-money laundering, and data breaches).
We have authored a 2018 bestseller on data protection “Guide to the GDPR” (14 thousand copies sold in Poland), English edition published in July 2019. We have contributed to four data protection databases and compliance systems, including in particular GGPStandard.com by Good Data Protection Standard Sp. z o.o..
In September 2019, for our two year combined efforts in data protection, we have been commanded in the prestigious Financial Times Innovative Lawyer Award Europe 2019 category New Business and Service Delivery Models.
Prior to creating Gawroński & Partners Maciej established and managed the Polish branch of Bird & Bird – an international intellectual property and IT law boutique headquartered in London, UK.
